Summary

This presentation deck accompanied the WCIPT7 paper and walks through the architecture, data flow, and implementation choices behind the sbRIO-based acquisition redesign — replacing legacy DAQ and controller components with a LabVIEW-based open-source stack running on a National Instruments sbRIO and streaming at 1000 frames per second over TCP/IP.

Why the talk is here separately

Papers and talks do different work. The paper is the formal record — what was built and measured. The talk is how I explained it to a room of tomography engineers: which decisions were worth dwelling on, which trade-offs mattered, and how the system behaves in practice. Both are on the site because both are useful in different ways.
